Police seek baby girl kidnapped under false pretences by two women in Kriel
The four-month-old baby girl was taken on December 28.

The Kriel SAPS have requested the public to assist reuniting a four-month-old baby girl, who was kidnapped in Kriel under false pretences by two females on December 28.
According to a Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the women, impersonating caregivers, approached the baby’s mother at her home in Thubelihle and promised to donate food for the baby.

“The two females are said to have indicated that before they could donate, they needed to take the child to the clinic for immunisation.”
The baby was taken around 09:00. She wearing a pink babygrow. She was not brought home.
The police urge anyone who might have information on her whereabouts to assist in reuniting the child with her family by contacting the police in Kriel on 082 798 0723, or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.
