Somizi to grace Mbombela in all his flamboyancy

Somizi Mhlongo said he is looking forward to attending the Mbombela Farmers Market to interact with his fans and the customers of his kids clothing brand.

A socialite and media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, is excited to be visiting Mbombela once again on Saturday March 2 to interact with locals and enjoy some of the entertainment Mpumalanga has to offer.

Mhlongo has graced Mpumalanga with his flamboyancy on several occasions, and left his local fans entertained.

The entrepreneur said he is looking forward to be in the city to showcase his Sompire Kids clothing line alongside local crafters and vendors at the Mbombela Farmers Market. “This time I will be visiting the Lowveld Botanical Garden in support of the initiative, mainly to interact with Sompire Kids customers, and to give them a personal thank you. The last six months have been nothing but a blessing, and it is all because of local brand supporters,” he said.

The market has attracted local brand lovers and creators in the Nsikazi region and sought to create platforms to uplift young and motivated creatives such as musicians, craft makers and cooks. These platforms have become quite popular, even stretching as far afield as Hazyview, Matsulu and Nkomazi.

“The Mbombela Farmers Market has created a relaxed space for local brands and businesses to showcase their product, and reach the market effortlessly.”

Mhlongo’s advice to young entrepreneurs to make a successful name in the creative industries is to take risks. “Take that risk and envision the space you want to occupy and its output. Start working on it and commit to it daily, until you unleash the passion for it.”
