Lifestyle motor club donates school shoes to learners outside KaBokweni

This donation aimed to help some of the learners of Embonisweni Primary School.

Some members of the Polo Hub Crew, a motor vehicle club consisting of VW Polo drivers, donated 19 pairs of school shoes and socks to some learners of Embonisweni Primary School, located close to KaBokweni, on April 12.

The club’s co-founder and chairperson, Dumisani Maposa, said this was the members’ first donation drive, and they will continue with more projects aimed at uplifting communities in Mpumalanga.

“We asked the school to identify the children who would appreciate receiving brand-new school shoes. Embonisweni Primary School is where we and my two other co-founders attended. It is amazing to be able to give back to a school and community that raised us. The donation also aims to break stereotypes about motor vehicle clubs, especially in townships, that we are always about fun and entertainment. We hope will be able to bring good in our community.”

Maposa said the club is made up of drivers from Hazyview, KaBokweni, Pienaar, Matsulu and many more areas.
