Mpumalanga premier and MEC for education officially hand over Mogalitwa Primary

The premier, Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane, and MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba went back to the school to keep a promise that was made to the community of eMalahleni.

The Mpumalanga premier, Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane, and MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba, officially opened Mogalitwa Primary School at Klarinet Ext 6 in eMalahleni Local Municipality on Thursday April 25.
The state-of-the-art school has 23 classrooms, a maths laboratory, kitchen, sickroom, ablution facilities, staffroom, print room, storeroom and admin office.

On the day there were various activities and learners performed different cultural dances as a way to celebrate.

During the event, Majuba appreciated the Freedom Charter for advocating for doors of learning and culture to be open for all. “The Freedom Charter made it possible that children of our working class and the previously disadvantaged children can walk through the doors of such state-of-the-art school and benefit from the quality education on offer.”

Mtshweni-Tsipane said when Mogalitwa was relocated to Klarinet, the Mpumalanga Government committed to building more classrooms and other facilities in creating and enabling an environment for learning and teaching to take place.
