Makhoyane said she started performing in a choir when she was 19. “I fell in love with the stage and I loved performing in front of people. I always prefer calling myself a performing artist, more than a singer or musician,” she said.

This 44-year-old grew up listening to kwaito and was inspired by Brenda Fassie, Aaliyah SWV, Busi Mhlongo and Jabu Khanyile.

“I am always working hard on strengthening my craft to ensure I give quality and evolving shows,” she said.

She has performed on numerous stages, including the the Bushfire Festival, Azgo Festival, Moshiti and Soweto Arts Festival, and has worked with various artists such as Lenna Bahule, Rita Couto and Matchume Zango.
Makhoyane is currently working on a self-constructed European tour.
