N4 Schoemanskloof closed due to truck accident

Motorists are advised to use the Elands Valley road as an alternative.

The N4 Schoemanskloof is closed at Patatanek.

This is due to a truck that lost control and rolled on the pass. Emer-G-Med received the call this morning, Tuesday, October 22, at 06:55.

The ambulance service’s Martin Jeffrey said they were assessing one male patient with minor to moderate injuries. He will then be transported to an appropriate medical facility for further treatment.

At the time of publishing, Van Wettens Towing Service was still en route to do the recovery – an operation that is expected to take at least four to five hours to complete.

Motorists are advised to use the N4 Elands Valley/Ngodwana road, and slow down and switch on headlights while the wet, misty conditions prevail.
