IN PHOTOS: Aspiring KaNyamazane gospel artist hopes to record debut album

Pentecostal Holiness Church - God's Haven Praise Centre recently hosted a concert to raise funds for Thabiso Ngomane so he can record his debut album.

Nsikazians did not miss a chance to indulge in the Night of Worship with Thabiso Ngomane and see performances by talented gospel artists, nationally renowned musicians such as Dumi Mkokstad and Masibuyele Kujehova.

Other highlights were Joy Mlimi, Nomcebo Zimbili, Sicelo Khoza and Goodman Mgibe.

The music concert took place at the Pentecostal Holiness Church – God’s Haven Praise Centre on Saturday night, October 19. The aim was for the church to fundraise for the recording of Ngomane’s debut album.

The senior pastor, Pr Mathews Mathebula, said Ngomane is a talented young musician. “We saw Ngomane has great talent that needs to be nurtured and he has a wish for it to be seen by the rest of the world. He started his journey to record his album and the church saw it fit to support him, as recording music is quite costly. We appreciate all the artists and sponsors who heeded our call and the attendees who uplifted one of our own,” Mathebula said.

Ngomane (24) said he is planning to have the album released in March. “A lot of emotions can be expected from the album. Its theme is surrounded by connections with God and songs everyone can relate to.”

He also rendered a couple of songs on stage and said the album will feature 12 traditional worship gospel songs he composed himself.

He started singing from 2006 when he was in Grade One and joined the praise team in 2019, fully fledging his love of worshipping.
