WATCH: Fire destroys Mbombela family home

The cause of the fire is subject to investigation and firefighters would not be drawn into speculation.

A luxury family home went up in flames late this afternoon, Thursday, November 7, at The Edge Estate in Mbombela.

Hendrik Pretorius and his family escaped unharmed from a ravaging fire that destroyed their home shortly before sunset.

Lowveld Fire Rangers’ Stefan Potgieter said they received the call at 18:02 and instantly dispatched a team.
