Nkomazi TikToker envisions becoming an actor
A content creator is getting recognition on TikTok and hopes that will land him acting opportunities.
A vlogger is gaining popularity on TikTok for his entertaining interpretation of township life.
Siphosethu Lubisi (26) has 102.2k followers and aims to use this platform to enhance his newly found career as a content creator.
Lubisi said his videos portray his simple life, the good and the bad, including his financial struggles since becoming the sole breadwinner at home in 2018.
“My childhood dream is to see myself on television as an actor. But the environment I grew up in did not offer many opportunities that exposed young people to the entertainment and film industries. My friend and I tried to make a film production called Ekasi Hostela, but we struggled and eventually gave up,” he shared.
In May last year, he stepped into the world of vlogging and excelled. “After posting my first vlog, fellow TikTokers asked for more content about my kasi lifestyle. It has been a fun and successful ride so far. I even got one of my sounds played on Ligwalagwala FM.”
Lubisi said he is defying the odds and pursuing his passion in acting, photography, agriculture and sports.

He shared some advice to his fellow content creators: always consider yourself in the content you produce and don’t just do it for the likes. He further emphasised the importance of not giving up.
