Entries open for Game Lifestyle Awards 2025

The awards recognise local heroes who are making a difference in the Masoyi and surrounding areas.

Organisers of the highly anticipated 4th annual Game Lifestyle Awards (GLA) are officially calling for entries, inviting nominations to celebrate individuals and entities that uplift the vibrant community lifestyle. Entries are open until June 15, under the theme ‘#AllOut’.

The Game Lifestyle Awards recognise individuals and businesses making a significant positive impact within their communities, with an aim to instil local pride, encourage entrepreneurship and promote social cohesion.

According to the founder of the GLA, Tumelo Nkuna, the fourth year of the awards endeavours to amplify the recognition of local heroes, fostering progress and challenging negative stigmas.

“This year promises to be the biggest and most impactful yet. Attendees can expect an elevated experience, culminating in a spectacular awards ceremony featuring performances from top local talent and a surprise national artist,” Nkuna said.

The main event is scheduled for November 1 at Mthimba College, following an exciting day of community engagement, including a car show, a fashion show and vibrant stalls showcasing local enterprises.

Reflecting the evolving Game landscape, the GLA25 categories have been refreshed. Nominations are sought across these 15 categories:

• Best fashion designer
• Best artist
• Best DJ
• Community builder of the year
• Best make-up artist
• Best kasi kitchen
• Football player of the year
• Best taxi driver of the year
• Best nail technician
• Best event organiser
• Best hustler
• Best photographer
• Best barber
• Mpumalanga best content creator
• Best graphic designer.

“For our fourth year, we’re truly going all out to honour the incredible spirit of the community. GLA25 is about pushing boundaries, celebrating resilience louder than ever, and providing a significant platform for our local stars. We’ve listened, refreshed our categories, and are planning an unforgettable celebration culminating on November 1. We invite every deserving individual to step forward – this is your time!”

How to enter:
Submissions must include a biography, required media (images/MP3s, etc.), proof of payment of the R100 (per category) entry fee, and contact details. Entries must be submitted via email to nkunatumelo3@gmail.com or via WhatsApp to 061 285 2704. Entrants must be South African citizens from the Masoyi area well known as Game.

People wishing to enter themselves or nominate others can download the official awards info pack for detailed guidelines, rules and banking information, via the Game Lifestyle Awards social media channels (@gamelifestyleawards).
The winners, selected by experts and the community through voting, will be announced at a gala event on November 1 where they will receive the prestigious GLA trophy.
