Nsikazi soccer enthusiasts take first steps in coaching career

Football institutions partnered to give back to the community of Nsikazi.

The Safa Ehlanzeni D Licence course has successfully concluded, with 30 coaches graduating at KaBokweni Stadium on Sunday, May 11. The eight-day course began on Sunday, May 4. It attracted many developmental soccer enthusiasts in Nsikazi and surrounds eager to penetrate the coaching world.

The course was both challenging and rewarding, and pushed the participants to their limits, but with the expert guidance of the instructors, they emerged successful. Making her mark in the male-dominated industry was a local woman, Priscilla Mthombeni, who did not miss the chance to uplift herself with a licence to coach.

The Forek Institute of Technology partnered with Safa Ehlanzeni to deliver this course, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort to develop coaches in the region. The institution aims to have over 120 qualified coaches by the end of the year.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Safa Ehlanzeni’s regional president, Kaizer Sibanyoni, who witnessed the proceedings and the results of the coaches’ hard work.
