KaBokweni muso follows father’s footsteps as a DJ
The musician wants to work with one of the most famous artists in SA, DJ Maphorisa.
A local DJ and producer is on a mission to leave his imprint on the music industry. Siyabonga Nyalunga, also known as Dingaa, started his journey at the age of 13 and his dream is to one day collaborate with well-known artists such as DJ Maphorisa.
He said he was inspired by his father, Solly Nyalunga, a local musician and DJ who used to perform at community gatherings.
“My father made me love music. Because of him I believe it heals many people and when people are happy, then my heart is at ease,” he said.
Siyabonga said Kabza De Small is his role model. He has performed at local events such as the PicNic Kuzini, TrueClassic Music Festival, and the recent Good Friday Marquee Experience.
