KaBokweni sisters aim high on national pageant stage
Ntandoyenkosi and Temasuthu hope to be crowned in the prestigious Miss Excellency South Africa.
Two talented sisters are hoping to spark awareness against bullying in their community and uplift their peers through pageantry. Temasuthu Nkambule (17) and Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi (11) are passionate models and aspiring community builders.
The duo are finalists in the prestigious Miss Excellency South Africa pageant. Temasuthu is competing in the teen category and Ntandoyenkosi in the pre-teen category. Temasuthu, a Grade 11 pupil of Zikodze Secondary School, said she found solace in modelling after experiencing body shaming at a younger age. She now aims to advocate against bullying.

“I want to use this opportunity doing something I love to bring about change and educate people against bullying,” she said. Temasuthu has enjoyed a successful pageant career thus far, being crowned second princess in the Miss KaBokweni and the Mini Miss and Teen Mpumalanga pageants last year.

Ntandoyenkosi is a Grade Six pupil at Lwaleng Primary School and aims to help underprivileged children. “I see myself becoming Miss South Africa in the future. I want to help those who do not have much and boost equality in my community,” she said.

Ntandoyenkosi has also made a name for herself on the local pageant circuit, having been crowned the winner of the Miss Pre-Teen Hazyview 2024. She was also crowned second princess for Mini Miss Mpumalanga in 2024 and for Miss KaBokweni in 2023. Ntandoyenkosi credits Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, as her inspiration.
