Mbombela-based college mourns loss of beloved lecturer
Gerald Danilowitz of Unigrad shares a message of condolences with Victor Mapulanga’s family after his death.

Tributes continue to pour in for the late Victor Mapulanga, a Unigrad College lecturer who died in a road accident on Thursday, August 21.
Unigrad College’s business manager, Gerald Danilowitz, said the news of Mapulanga’s tragic passing left the institution with profound sadness.
He described Mapulanga as a dedicated and beloved lecturer.

Victor, who had been an integral part of our college family since February 2014, was more than just an educator, he was a pillar of kindness, compassion and dedication.
His unwavering commitment to the well-being and success of his students earned him respect and admiration.”
Danilowitz said that Mapulanga’s friendly demeanour and approachable nature made him a cherished figure on campus.
“The news of his untimely passing has left the Unigrad College family in shock, grief and disbelief.
Victor’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, educated and inspired,” said Danilowitz.
He also extended Unigrad’s deepest condolences to Mapulanga’s wife, children, and loved ones:
“May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him and his spirit continue to inspire future generations of students and educators.
Rest in peace, Victor Mapulanga. Your impact will never be forgotten.”
Circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately available, but Lowvelder has reliably learnt that it occurred in Limpopo.
Mapulanga had been there for his mother’s funeral; however, after another close relative passed away and the funeral was postponed, he was travelling back to Mbombela when the accident occurred.
Funeral arrangements had not yet been finalised at the time of publication
