Women celebrated in style at the 11th Night of the Queens in Mbombela

The Night of the Queens 2025 at Emnotweni Arena on Saturday, August 23, was all glitz and glam as queens took centre stage for an unforgettable evening of sophistication.

One of Mpumalanga’s most anticipated events, The Night of the Queens returned for its 11th edition this month in celebration of Women’s Month.
Over the past decade, the event has grown into a signature fixture on the province’s social calendar, attracting middle- to high-income women from across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
This year’s event was attended by high-profile figures such as the MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini. Experts from various fields shared their insights with the guests.

Ella Khumalo, focusing on lifestyle, encouraged women to keep their households fresh, offering tips on cleanliness and cooking.
“You can buy nice candles and diffusers to keep the place smelling nice. Consider using white linen so your home feels like a hotel; you don’t have to go to expensive stores to achieve this,” she said.

Dr Sma Nkosi spoke on the importance of personal hygiene for women, advising them to establish a daily routine and avoid scented products, such as powders and soaps, which can disrupt the natural pH balance and lead to infections.
