Vodacom highlights SME growth through connectivity in Mbombela

This event is part of a broader initiative to empower businesses in Mpumalanga.

Vodacom Business (VB), in partnership with the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI), hosted the VB Technology Day in the City of Mbombela (CoM) on Thursday, September 23. The theme of the day was ‘Economic growth through digital empowerment.’

The full-day event brought together industry leaders, technology experts, entrepreneurs and key stakeholders from across South Africa to explore the critical role of digital connectivity in driving economic development, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

With more than 80 attendees, the event was a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. Delegates gained practical insights on various topics, including the transformative impact of connectivity on SME growth, future-proofing businesses through cloud solutions, mobile technology, cybersecurity, ensuring and simplifying compliance, company registration via the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission’s digital tools, managing tax filing, leveraging tax benefits, and handling legal disputes.

“Digital inclusion is the gateway to sustainable economic development,” said Monde Ngcukana, Vodacom Mpumalanga’s managing executive.
