ECD students graduate

Early Childhood Development (ECD) students received their certificates from the Hope Academic and Skill Centre (HASC) at Assemblies of God on October 8. There were 86 students who graduated that day.
HASC that opened in 1995, is a community-based centre that promotes education and skills development and produces teachers who specialise in ECD.
The founder, Thembi Nkadimeng, said that after certification, the centre assists graduates with work placements.

“ECD is one of the most important stages in a person’s life, forming the foundation upon which all future learning and development are built,” she said.
“Research shows that the first six years of life are a critical period of rapid brain development, shaping how children learn, think, feel and behave throughout the course of their lives.”
Nkadimeng said HASC focuses on ECD because it cares about children and their future.
