The winter chill on June 12 was no match for the warmth and excitement at Maphakama Primary School, where learners and educators traded their usual school uniforms for their coziest sleepwear.

Learners from Grades R to Three were a colourful sea of plush pyjamas, fuzzy nightgowns and warm slippers as they celebrated their special fundraiser event: Pyjama Day.

Thabo Ngomane, a teacher and organiser of the day, said the learners proudly showed off their favourite winter sleepwear, bringing a joyful, vibrant energy to the classrooms.
