Social Development Minister Dina Pule visits Daggakraal aged home and care centre

Outreach programme honours Nelson Mandela's legacy with community support and donations in Daggakraal.

Social Development Minister Dina Pule led her first Integrated Community Registration Outreach Programme at Daggakraal Sports Field on Thursday, July 16. She was joined by MEC for Social Development Nompumelelo Hlophe.
Officials distribute relief and dignity packs
The day began with a visit to the department-funded Masisizane Aged Home, followed by Thembalethu Protective Centre, where dignity packs were donated.

In the spirit of 67 Minutes of Service, the officials donated school shoes to 23 underprivileged learners through the Special Investigating Unit’s Cold Feet Programme, and distributed Social Relief of Distress to vulnerable households.
