Nationwide fuel price increase shock from Wednesday

Diesel prices will be hit hardest on Wednesday (September 2) with increases of up to R3.15 per litre, while petrol, illuminating paraffin and LP gas prices also climb.

Both 93-octane and 95-octane petrol will increase by R1.34 per litre on Wednesday, September 2, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announced.

According to The Citizen, the price of diesel with 0.05% (500ppm) sulphur will increase by R2.93 per litre, while 0.005% (50ppm) sulphur will go up by R3.15 per litre.

Paraffin and LP gas

Illuminating paraffin will cost R2.84 more per litre, while the price of LP gas will increase by 79c per kilogramme countrywide.
