The Class of 2026 at Hazyview Comprehensive marked a memorable milestone as they gathered for their matric farewell at the school on September 22.

The learners made a grand entrance in stylish outfits and elegant vehicles as they celebrated their high school journey. Their families and friends gathered to witness the special occasion, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and pride for the future.

The matric dance gave the learners an opportunity to reflect on their high school years while creating memories with their classmates before the beginning of their final push.

Ready for the world beyond the classroom

Hazyview Comprehensive deputy principal Nokuthula Mthembu said the event was an important celebration for their learners.

“Events like these boost learners’ confidence and help them view life from a different angle. They begin to understand that they are ready to face the world beyond the classroom,” she said.

Mthembu expressed hope that the experience would inspire the learners to strive to become better versions of themselves.
