Notice is hereby given that Ravenscourt Ranch (Pty) Ltd intends to apply for an Environmental Authorisation (EA) in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) (Act 107 of 1998): EIA Regulations (2014), as amended for the abovementioned development proposal.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proposed development is located at Ebony and Boulders Lodges within the Sabi Sand Private Nature Reserve (SSPNR). The proposed project entails developing and upgrading staff and operational infrastructure to support the facility`s efficient operation. This includes the construction of new staff change rooms and shower facilities, new junior and senior staff accommodation, and the development of new wellness centres at Ebony and Boulders. Collectively, these components are intended to improve staff welfare, operational capacity, and on-site accommodation and support facilities within the existing development area.
THE APPLICANT & CONSULTANT
Ravenscourt Ranch (Pty) Ltd appointed HCV Africa as the registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to manage the application for Environmental Authorisation (EA). The proposed NEMA listed activities triggered by this application include inter alia the following:

Public Participation
Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) are hereby informed of the EIA application and the Draft Basic Assessment Report (BAR) availability for the proposed development mentioned above. I&APs are invited to register (in writing) and submit comments to HCV Africa within thirty (30) days from the date of this notice for the EIA process. To register or provide comments, please reference the name and registration number of the proposed development, along with your name, address, contact details (indicating your preferred method of notification), and any direct business, financial, personal, or other interests you may have regarding the application.
In line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) (Act 4 of 2013), as amended, the personal information of registered I&APs will not be published as part of reporting. However, a full list of registered I&APs, including correspondence with I&APs will be submitted to the Competent Authority.
