Flavoured Melody visits Pienaar orphanage
Flavoured Melody's band members were on a mission of sharing what they have with the needy and recently visited Angel’s Hope orphanage.
PIENAAR – Angel’s Hope orphanage was the first charity organisation to benefit from a local band, dedicated to giving back to the community. Flavoured Melody under the leadership of its founder and manager, Geshon Ntimane gave the centre a surprise visit and donated food to the home. The band members, who were on a mission of sharing what they have with the needy, also took time to play with the orphans, giving them love and the care that children need. “God has given us the ability to make a decent living and He also desires to use us as vessels to His people. We don’t have to wait for Mandela Day to extend a helping hand but we must show love and assist every time,” said Ntimane.
He also said that they would be identifying organisations and homes in need and offer their support.
“We are a group that is passionate about making a difference in others’ lives and by putting a little love in our hearts, it is easy to share the little we have,” said Ntimane. The home’s caregiver, Ms Mary Mgwenya, who has given a permanent home to seven children and feeds other children from the community, expressed her gratitude to this gesture.
“Thank you for surprising us at the time when we desperately needed support. One of our supporters just pulled out a few months ago because of challenges they were facing and God sent you to fill that gap,” she said.
Mgwenya explained that they were not receiving government support because the centre was still in the process of registering as a home. She said that she dreamt of having many children but God only blessed her with one child.
“I think God realised that with so much love and care in my heart, many children will benefit so he sent them to me and I consider them mine,” said the caring mother.
