Heavy finally gives back to his home town
The aim of the workshops is to empower aspiring artists.
Workshops set to educate aspiring artist about the industry are about to be hosted locally.
The much-respected talent scout, Stanley Khoza, or Heavy as most of his fans know him, has announced the launch of the Bushbuckridge Art Dance Film and Music Development.
Khoza said that the launch which will take place at Mapulaneng Hall on September 13 is the first step towards building a positive community.
“The people have long awaited their own platform to showcase their talents but were shadowed by Nelspruit.”
The workshops will take place on September 14 from 9:00 until 16:00.
Khoza had this to say: “The greatest drive for me as an individual and for Big Punch Media as a company was accepting the fact that these people are far from being able to affording the cost of learning and getting the knowhow required to launch their careers. This is because they are highly deprived by different circumstances such as dominating poverty and unemployment in the region.”
The aim of the workshops is to empower aspiring artists. “We are inviting the responsible government offices to take responsibility and accountability, more especially the art and culture office. We also extend our invite to private sector companies, artists, actors, dancers and mentors in the entertainment fraternity to devote time by joining us as we focus in creating possibilities for our rural societies.
