Local gospel artist to take industry by storm

Her first album is still on demand and also pleads for more support, especially from the people of the province.

A local gospel artist, bubble Pretty Mhlongo, who is already working on her second solo album, is making waves on the small screens.

Mhlongo, wife to local musical sensation, Selby Mhlongo, is taking the world of television by storm with her beauty and brains.

She hosts her own TV talk show, ‘Bridal Worship’ which is aired every Fridays on Dstv’s GNF channel, where she invites local pastors and prophets to tackle gospel issues.

Her story actually begins at the age of 10 where she started singing in the church choir and later on at school, where she has won many trophies. Driven by a burning desire to become one of the country’s most celebrated and admired songstress, she left Mayflower, where she was born to Nelspruit for greener pastures. This brave step launched a personal journey of achievement that was destined to touch the hearts and minds of millions.

“It hasn’t been easy, as there have been setbacks throughout my journey to where I am today, but because of God and people’s help along the way, I made it here.

I am just happy for this wonderful opportunity and gift of music that the Lord has blessed me with. And I want to spent the rest of my life working and glorifying Him,” says Mhlongo.

She has performed at many musical events around the province and continues to inspire her fans in the television show.

“My dream is to inspire a lot of people, especially women to never give up on their dreams and wishes. My music and my show actually seeks to inspire and bring hope,” continues the lovely Mhlongo.

She says her first album is still on demand and also pleads for more support, especially from the people of the province.

She is planning to host a gala event to raise funds for her TV show and details of the gala to be made public once everything has been finalized.
