Swazi-born comedian ready to take on the industry by force.

Swazi-born local comedian aims to take the industry by storm

He could easily be mistaken for a kid, but his determination and passion for his craft warrants him to walk with giants.

It’s not a laughing matter that the 21-year-old Swazi-born stand-up comedian, Mfundo Khumalo, has become a force to be reckoned with in the local industry.

The God-fearing funny man told Mpumalanga News that his mission as a comedian is to be a good actor, writer and even a movie director.

“My vision in life is to be a good, or the best comedian in the world and to act and entertain people on television and stage,” he added.

“Reading and studying are some of the things I like. I even love to act and write funny stories. Joking is in my blood,” said the RnB, hip-hop and gospel aficionado. He loves kids including teaching them to respect the elders. Khumalo indicated that he received an accolade for best acting at a school project in his home country and has even had one of his short stories featured on Swazi TV.

He added that he has also featured in shows such as Laugh Out Loud, Three and a Half Men, ROTFLMA among others.

Khumalo said that he is currently working on a show that focuses on bullying. “This is meant to deal with problems faced by kids on a daily basis. We must always support them and make sure that we show them our love. This show is not just to make them tell others I did this and these are the results. It’s to show children that it’s not the end of the road and that we must always ask God for help,” he concluded.
