The Bakoena celebrate their cultures

The Mathibela traditional council started the heritage month on a high note through the celebration of their traditional day ‘Ummemo’.

The event, which drew thousands of people was held at the Mathibela sports ground.

Dressed in their traditional attires they sang and danced before Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena.

Also present at the prestigious event were members of the traditional council in the province and government officials.

Regiments also had an opportunity to test their strengths in front of the crowd. Take a look.
