Mpumalanga Cultural Xperience hits top gear

As per usual, the Carnival Street Parade will get things underway and will bring together a myriad of cultures that make South Africa a colourful nation.

MBOMBELA – The Third Annual Mpumalanga Cultural Xperience hits top gear today with the hosting of a Carnival Street Parade in the morning, a Traditional Music Xperience and a Gospel Xperience in the evening.

 The Carnival Street Parade will start at 9.00 at Sitruscresent Street (behind SARS) and finish at Bergvlam Hoërskool in Mbombela.

“The parade will pass through Spruit, Anderson, Paul Kruger, Brown, Samora Machel, Nel, Rood, Piet Retief, Madiba, Koorsboom, Figtree, Kremetart and Geelhout streets,” says the department’s spokesperson, Sibongile Nkosi.

 The Traditional Music Xperience lineup is a stellar one with the likes of Nothembi Mkhwebane, General Muzka and many more. Entry is free.

 The activities for day one will conclude with a Gospel Music Xperience at Hoërskool Bergvlam, starting at 18.00.

The likes of Mpumalanga Praise, Donny, Benjamin Dube, Lebo Sekgobela, Jay Jay, Pretty Mhlongo, Sicelo Moyo, Paul and the Healing, Qiniso Mabaso, Khongelani, Lucky Gamede Mphotholozi, Sidwell Mathebula, Phindile Phoky, Indumiso, Sicelo Khoza and Masibuyele kuJehova are part of the line- up. 

 Entrance fee for the Gospel Xperience is R50.
