Covid-19: South Africa’s recovery rate exceeds 639 000
An additional 15 366 tests were conducted yesterday.

South Africa recorded a total of 639 569 (90 per cent) recoveries in its Covid-19 statistics released on October 20.
A further 163 Covid-19 related deaths were reported bringing the total number of deaths to 18 656.
An additional 15 366 tests were conducted bringing the total number of tests to 4 581 346.
1 050 new cases were reported bringing the cumulative total to 706 304.
Gauteng remains the hotspot with 32 per cent of cases followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 17.2 per cent.
