Brescia House teacher hits the Olympic stage as umpire

Thus far, Michelle Joubert has umpired a number of matches between countries such as Great Britain and the Netherlands as well as Australia and Spain.

Brescia House School teacher in Sandton, Michelle Joubert continues to hold the country’s flag high at this year’s Olympics.

The school’s head of sport is currently in Tokyo to officiate the women’s hockey.

Thus far, Joubert has umpired a number of matches including Great Britain versus the Netherlands and Australia against Spain.

According to school head Loredana Borello, this was an amazing opportunity for Joubert and the school could not be prouder how far she had come.

“We are so incredibly proud of you Michelle. This is another amazing opportunity for you, make the most of it. Brescia is supporting you all the way,” said Borello.
