Girl (4) raped: Mossel Bay serial rapist face new charge
DNA results received 10 years after the rape, allegedly links Goodman Nomga to the incident.
A serial rapist who is currently serving 30 years imprisonment for raping women and children in 2015, is back in the Mossel Bay Regional Court today on a different charge relating to the rape of a four-year-old girl in 2008.
Goodman Nomga (45) was charged after DNA results for the brutal rape was finally released and allegedly linked him to the incident.
The victim, who is now 18 years old, was on her way to her crèche, when Nomga allegedly approached her, took her hand, and told her that he was going to give her a packet of chips at a café around the corner.
He allegedly bought her the chips and walked with her to a bushy area in Mossel Bay, where he raped her and assaulted her.
Nonga then allegedly punched her in the face, breaking her jaw.
He will also appear on charges relating to two other rape cases of children in Mossel Bay, who were under five years of age at the time of the incidents.
Police from the Mossel Bay Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit left no stone unturned, and Warrant Officer Tatta Marks arrested Nomga after learning of the results allegedly linking him to the crime.
Nomga was first arrested by Warrant Officer Alistair Rezant in 2015 and both Marks and Sergeant Mantshadi Mofokeng have been involved in investigating cases against him.
