Boks to play world cup warm-up against Pumas
South Africa and Argentina will in August face each other at the Velez Sarsfield Stadium as the sides prepare for the pinnacle event.
The Springboks are set to warm up for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France with a match against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
The world champions will face the Pumas on August 5 at the Velez Sarsfield Stadium in a fixture that is not part of a reduced 2023 Rugby Championship. Argentina’s rugby union, UAR made the announcement over the new year.
“We hope to have a great year, always trying to improve all aspects of our rugby, so that more and more people can enjoy the sport, either as athletes or spectators, and that we can continue to grow the passion for rugby,” read a statement from UAR president Gabriel Travaglini.
