Eskom announces load-shedding schedule for the rest of the week

Stage 3 and 4 power cuts will be in effect again from tomorrow morning, the power utility says.

Stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented at 16:00, Eskom has confirmed as it noted its planned power cuts schedule until Sunday.

The power utility states that stage 2 load-shedding will continue until 05:00 tomorrow when it will be escalated to stage 3 until 16:00.

Another escalation follows at 16:00 tomorrow when stage 4 will be implemented for the peak period until 05:00 on Friday. Stage 3 load-shedding is then set to come into effect at 05:00 on Friday and continue until 05:00 on Saturday when rolling power cuts will be lowered to stage 2.

Stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented from 05:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Sunday. Stage 1 load-shedding – that citizens are currently experiencing – will again be implemented on Sunday (between 05:00 and 16:00).

Finally, stage 2 power cuts will then return at 16:00.

Eskom states that an update will be provided ‘as soon as any significant changes occur’.
