Gauteng father rescues daughter from rapists

Police are investigating a case of rape after the young girl was raped multiple times by three unknown men.

A Gauteng father came to the rescue of his 14-year-old daughter who was held hostage and raped by three unknown men.

The police arrested all three on Sunday morning.

Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya says in a statement that the three suspects aged 18, 19, and 20 were arrested at Sinqobile, Kagiso in Krugersdorp.

The victim told police that she left her house at about 15:00 on Thursday and went to the top of one of the mine dumps near extension eight. There she fell asleep when the rain started to fall.

“Early the next morning, the victim suddenly noticed three unknown men standing on top of her. The suspects took her to a shack at Sinqobile where she was locked up and left alone.”

She said they then returned later that night and undressed her. They took turns raping her and she was kept in the shack. Her father came to her rescue the next day. He told police that he received a tip-off from residents about where his daughter was.

When he arrived at the shack he broke open the door and rescued the girl.

Sibiya said a rape case had been opened by the victim’s father and the police started searching for the three suspects. They found and arrested them the next day.
