Six injured, three seriously in two-vehicle collision in South Coast

One person was entrapped in a vehicle following a serious accident near Port Shepstone yesterday.

Six people were injured in an accident on the N2, near Marburg, Port Shepstone, yesterday evening.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service, along with other emergency services responded and found that two vehicles had been involved in a collision.

Chantelle Botha, spokesperson of KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service said paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that three patients had sustained serious injuries, and three patients had sustained minor injuries.

“One of the seriously injured patients was trapped in a vehicle and together with Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Rescue services, paramedics stabilised and extricated the patient using specialised equipment.”

The patients were then transported to hospital for further treatment.
