Here’s Eskom’s load-shedding forecast for the next few days

The power utility announces the planned stages of rolling blackouts until Monday.

Eskom has provided an update on the state of rolling blackouts.

The power utility says stage 5 load-shedding will continue until 05:00 tomorrow when it will be lowered to stage 3 until 16:00.

Thereafter stage 4 power cuts will be in effect for the peak period (16:00-05:00) tomorrow and on Sunday. Stage 3 will be implemented again between 05:00 and 16:00 on Sunday.

Monday’s forecast is stage 4 until 16:00 when load-shedding will be escalated to stage 5 again.

Eskom adds that 17 245MW of generating capacity is currently unavailable due to breakdowns, while a further 4 468MW is offline due to planned maintenance.
