Here’s your load-shedding schedule for the weekend

Load-shedding will be suspended for most of the day on both Saturday and Sunday.

The latest load-shedding schedule has been released and there is some good news for South Africans.

Load-shedding will be suspended between 05:00 and 16:00 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Various stages of load-shedding will be implemented outside of those times.

Here is the complete schedule:

“The reduction of load-shedding to lower stages is a result of the anticipated lower weekend electricity demand and the expected return of 1 500MW generation capacity by Sunday. Tonight’s peak demand forecast is 26 027MW,” Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena said.

The power utility will publish another update on Sunday afternoon, or as soon as there are any significant changes.
