Teen in school uniform caught driving taxi carrying fellow learners

A KZN inspector noticed a 16-year-old boy in uniform driving down Woodhouse Road in Scottsville, and chased him.

A 16-year-old boy, in school uniform, was arrested in Scottsville, KZN, yesterday for driving a taxi carrying fellow learners.

The arrest happened after provincial principal inspector Siphiwe Zuma spotted the vehicle being driven by the youngster.

“I saw the taxi on Woodhouse Road, going towards Golden Horse Casino. I realised that the driver in the vehicle was in a [school] uniform and I turned around and chased him on Woodhouse Road. I stopped him and I realised that he was an underage driver and a scholar.
