Missing Roodepoort boy (11) found dead

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a boy who went missing earlier this week.

The body of Jayden Lee Meek, an 11-year-old boy who went missing on Tuesday, was found on the stairs of his residential complex in Fleurhof, Roodepoort.

According to Florida CPF chairperson Farhaad Sardiwalla, the boy was found lifeless yesterday morning.

Roodepoort Record reports that the circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, but it is alleged that he may have been assaulted.

Meek was last seen at Swazi Place in Fleurhof, in his school uniform, after being dropped off by his scholar transport.

His family reported him missing to the Florida Police Station on Tuesday night, and a search was launched. The CPF assisted in creating a missing person’s flyer to aid in the search.

The police are investigating the matter.
