Dismissed sex video warder found dead in Joburg prison cell
Paul Zwane was dismissed from his post as a prison warder in 2011 after a video of him having sex with a female officer went viral.
Gauteng correctional services reportedly said on Monday that former correctional services official Paul Zwane was found dead in a single cell in the Johannesburg Correctional Centre, also known as Sun City Prison, on April 5.
In a report by News24, spokesperson for Gauteng correctional services, Ofentse Morwane, reportedly said Zwane had been due to appear in court that day for sentencing after he was found guilty of kidnapping and rape.
Zwane was dismissed from his post as a prison warder in 2011 after a video of him having sex with a female police officer while on duty went viral.
Sunday World alleged that Zwane had hanged himself and that a correctional services official who was of high rank had alleged he had used a shoelace.
