Body of woman found floating in KwaZulu-Natal

The body of woman was seen floating in the ocean off shore of Hibberdene in KwaZulu-Natal earlier today.

Some eyewitnesses claim that they had earlier seen the woman sitting on the beach with a man, South Coast Herald reported.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said after an eye witness informed the police about the body Port Shepstone police divers were sent to the scene and, with the assistance of Med-Evac, the body of an unknown woman was retrieved from the water.

The woman, dressed in black tights and a sleeveless beige T-shirt, was believed to be about 40-years old.

In a separate incident, the body of a man was found floating near the Reabota bridge in Mpumalanga in October.

It was alleged that the man had drowned, as he had money and a cell phone in his pockets.
