Eldorado Park joins Ennerdale in #ShutdownGauteng protests
Eldorado Park residents have blocked off the N12 with burning tires as they join in on the shutdown.
Police have brought in more law enforcement in Ennerdale, where the ‘Gauteng Shutdown’ against the marginalisation of coloured communities has gained momentum, Rising Sun Lenasia reports.
Main roads leading into the area have been blocked with burning tires and debris.
More police nyalas and water cannons have been deployed.

The situation is tense, with residents standing behind burning tyres.
Residents are pleading with officers not to get too close and provoke protesters.
In Addition, the Eldorado Park community has blocked off the N12 with burning tires as they joined in on the shutdown.
Motorists are urged to avoid the N12 past Eldorado Park and seek alternative routes.
Police are on scene.
