Former president Jacob Zuma’s fiancée, Nonkanyiso Conco, is now a radio DJ.
She has joined KwaZulu-Natal-based radio station VumaFM and presents a show called ‘Women in Conversation with LaConco’.
Conco is apparently not new to community radio as she has had a stint on youth show Umgungundlovu community radio.
Vuma radio programmes manager Patrick Bogats reportedly said the station was looking for someone passionate about women issues.

She, according to Bogats, had more potential than the rest of the applicants when she joined the team.
Conco will outline some of the issues women face on a daily bases.
Conco, according to the Sowetan, said a month to celebrate women was not enough as there remained challenges women went through almost every day.
She said she will not be focusing on the wide range of criticism she will receive being Zuma’s fiancee but will focus on learning and growing in the radio industry, which according to her is her first love.
