WATCH: Judge Makaula reprimands Pastor Omotoso’s wife

Zondi, one of the women who accuses Omotoso of sexual abuse was interrupted by Judge Makaula reprimanding Omotoso’s wife.

Pastor Timothy Omotoso’s wife Taiwo was reprimanded during court proceedings for “making gestures and commenting” during first witness’s testimony.

The victim fielded questions from Omotoso’s defence Peter Daubermann in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Tuesday.

The court heard how Omotoso allegedly forced the victim to conduct sexual acts on him.

This was interrupted by Taiwo who caught the eye of Judge Mandela Makaula.

Makaula quickly attended to the interruption and singled out Taiwo to remind her that she was in court.

“…can you please stand up… you in the yellow dress, between the two gentlemen…”

Taiwo was dressed in a bright orange ensemble did not stand up but raised her hand gingerly for Makaula to acknowledge.

“She must stop making gestures,” an annoyed Makaula said. The interpreter in Zulu translated to Taiwo.

Omotoso’s wife smiled in response to Makaula’s stern warning.

Omotoso and his co-accused Lusanda Sulani and Zukiswa Sitho are accused of recruiting girls from all over the country for purposes of sexual exploitation.

The victim can be seen crying as the court adjourns into a short recess.
