A world record that will make you cry

Tony Glover from Leicestershire in the United Kingdom managed to grow an onion that weighs almost 9 kilograms, beating out the previous Guiness World Records holder who grew an onion weighing 4.5 kilograms.

“I give them [the onions] a nitrogen rich food and have to make sure the humidity is just right. Ive also got grow lights fitted to [the greenhouse] inside to simulate the sun when the days get shorter or when the weather isn’t very good,” Tony confessed.

Glover also admitted that it took a year to grow the enormous onion.
