Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N continues its winning streak by bagging the esteemed World Performance Car Award for 2024. This victory underscores Hyundai’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric performance and innovation.

Jaehoon Chang, the president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, expressed delight at the win, stating: “This recognition reaffirms Hyundai’s dedication to excellence in electric performance and innovation.”

The World Car Awards, an annual event featuring international jurors from 29 countries,  announced the winners during the 2024 New York International Auto Show, where Hyundai Motor’s numerous nominations highlighted its growing influence on the global stage. The Ioniq 5 N, introduced in July 2023, represents the company’s foray into high-performance electric vehicles (EVs), blending cutting-edge technology with motorsport-inspired features.

Till Wartenberg, the vice president and head of N Brand and Motorsport at Hyundai Motor Company, commented: “The Ioniq 5 N sets a new benchmark in the industry, combining our E-GMP platform with the N’s motorsport expertise.”

With accolades like Top Gear’s 2023 Car of the Year Award and the fastest electric SUV lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Ioniq 5 N continues to redefine high-performance EVs.
