Pretty pics and cute quotes may get likes, but if you want content that’s going to make people want to book a stay at your guesthouse, it’s time to mix things up. Here are three simple tips to give your engagement a boost while showing potential new guests why their next visit with you:
- Think video. A 15-second Reel featuring coffee on your veranda at sunrise, accompanied by genuine guest laughter, creates more impact than a dozen static room photos. A quick look behind the scenes of your housekeeping team’s attention to detail or your chef sourcing ingredients at local markets is gold.
- Problem-solving stays. Highlight why choosing your guesthouse or B&B ticks all the boxes. Pet friendly? Yes! Family-friendly? Absolutely! Show what makes your accommodation unique and show your followers how you can solve their accommodation struggles.
- Get your guests involved. User-generated content (UGC) builds trust faster than any marketing message you create. Encourage guests to tag your property and reshare their authentic moments – an engagement photo taken in your garden, a family’s breakfast spread on your deck, or a business traveller’s workspace setup…these authentic moments validate your property through real experiences.
