Hi-Flyerz in Boksburg will host their last heat round of the Klipdrift looklocal Idols 2013, tomorrow night, July 17, at 8pm.
There is only one more round left before the top ten singers go through to the semi-finals, after which they will be selected for the finals.
Dates for the semi-finals and finals are July 31 and August 7.
Throughout the last couple of weeks the Klipdrift looklocal Idols competition has seen local aspiring singers from all over South Africa perform at least three times at their closest venue as part of the selection process. Venues across South Africa have been hosting these heat rounds, including Boksburg’s very own Hi-Flyerz.
Singers were scored each time they performed, and those with the highest collective scores by the end of August, will make it through to the national semi-finals at Silverstar Casino (part of the Tsogo Sun group).
The final extravaganza will take place on September 17.
This competition is nationwide and offers anyone of 18 years and older the opportunity to win a record deal with Big Boy Records and R 15 000 cash.
Top singers who go through to the national finals will also be part of a week’s development programme with professional producers from Reinhardt Massyn Productions, before their final performances.
