Contemporary and alternative rock experience directly from the ‘80s

For those who love ‘80s rock, what better way to see out the year than with all the greatest hits from alternative and contemporary greats such as The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, The Cult, Depeche Mode, My Chemical Romance.

And that’s just for starters. The tribute of these great bands will be performed during Hey Now! Hey Now, Now!, at Carnival City.

Th show will take place on Tuesday, December 31, at 8pm, at the Mardi Gras Theatre, Carnival City.

The show features the talented line-up of David Beretta Owens (Lithium, N8ive), Danny de Wet (eVoid, Petit Cheval, The Electric Petals, Wonderboom), John Preston (The Lowveld Garage Band, 111 Audio, Fight at the Opera), Jay Wilton (The Slashdogs, The Cavalier) and Julian von Plato (The 3rd Wave, Plato’s Theory).

They will literally rock you with tributes to The Mission, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Violent Femmes, Joy Division, The White Stripes, Echo and the Bunnymen, Placebo, New Model Army, The Smiths, Siouxie and The Banshees.

Other band members include Jean-Pierre Mathews (Die Maverick, Maranatha Direction Band), Justin Hart (Johnny Stalker, Deep Kick, Starseed, Gross Misconduct), Jenna Meiring (Jenna Sighed, Through Knives, Black Soul Café), Martin ‘Thor’ Dugdale (Mizera) and Marco Romano (Arctic Jin, Johnny Stalker).

So dust off your best ‘80s rock outfit, shine up those dancing shoes and prepare to come out for a night to remember.
