Air Supply to make you feel the love

A breath of fresh "entertainment" air will hit Gauteng in April, when international '80s duo, Air Supply, will perform live at the Emperors Palace.

With over 100-million albums sold, and eight top 10 hits in the US, the band has firmly positioned themselves as an all-time favourite over the years, with hits such as Lost in Love, All Out of Love, The One That You Love, Sweet Dreams, and Making Love out Of Nothing At All.

Fans will be able to reminisce and remember the good old leg warmers, big hair and shoulder-pad days.

The two performers, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met in 1975, the first day of rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar in Australia.

They then became instant friends with their common love for The Beatles and, of course, singing.

After the shows’ performances, the two would play at pizza parlors, coffee bars and night clubs with just one guitar and two voices. They quickly gained a reputation for great harmonies and original songs.

They made a demo and took it to every record company in Sydney. A single was then made in one afternoon, and thereafter it shot to number one on the national charts – Air Supply was born.

Now local fans can see the duo live in action on April 25 and 26, at Emperors Palace.
